Hyderabad: M Kusuma Sri, a 25-year-old professional from the city, was out with her husband for an evening walk when she received the call that she won the first prize of 32 inch TV, in the Dasara Shopping Bonanza, of Telangana Today and Namasthe Telangana.
Speaking to Telangana Today, an excited Kusuma, shares, “I am very happy. This is the first time I have won anything in a lucky draw. I bought bed sheets at CMR Mall, Dilsukhnagar, that too were not very costly, so I wasn’t sure if I would win anything at all. My husband is more excited than I am. We are eagerly waiting for the TV to come home. I haven’t yet told this to my family.”
The lucky draw for Sunday was held at Niloufer Cafe, Banjara Hills. The owner of the cafe, Babu Rao, was happy to be a part of this event and added, “I am grateful to Telangana Today and Namasthe Telangana for giving me this opportunity. As the festive season is fast approaching, we at Niloufer Cafe also decided to give hampers to two contestants.”
One of the customers of Niloufer, Vikky Singh, also decided to fill in the bonanza form. “I like Niloufer’s tea and come here almost every day with my friends. I generally do not fill in any coupons, however I would be filling one today.”
As part of Dasara Shopping Bonanza, every day, winners in the lucky draw will get a 32 inch colour TV as first prize, mobile phones as second prize and gift vouchers as third, fourth and fifth prizes. Apart from five daily prizes, the winner in the bumper draw on the 11th day will win a car.
