MAA polls: Jeevitha Rajasekhar responds to Manchu Vishnu’s remarks
It may be recalled that Vishnu, who is vying for MAA president candidate, said that actor Rajasekhar had met his father Mohan Babu at his residence recently to discuss various issues pertaining to the MAA elections.
Hyderabad: Senior actor Jeevitha Rajasekhar, who is contesting for the post of General Secretary from Prakash Raj’s panel in Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) elections 2021, has clarified on the recent remarks made by opposition contestant Manchu Vishnu. She gave a reason as to why her husband Rajasekhar met senior star Mohan Babu.
It may be recalled that Vishnu, who is vying for MAA president candidate, said that actor Rajasekhar had met his father Mohan Babu at his residence recently to discuss various issues pertaining to the MAA elections. However, Vishnu didn’t speak anything further as he was stopped by actor Naresh who stood by his side during the press meet.
During a television interview, Jeevitha clarified that it was true that her husband Rajasekhar met Mohan Babu. “We have been shooting a movie at Ramoji Film City and my husband called me up one day and said he was running late as he dropped by Mohan Babu’s residence for a small informal meeting. Later, he briefed me about the conversation with Mohan Babu about various issues related to the MAA elections. New contestants in fray for the president’s post and how the MAA polls are being portrayed to outsiders through the media. How people are of an opinion that there is a power struggle brewing between the celebrity families of Megastar and Mohan Babu. So he appealed to Mohan Babu to end all controversies at the earliest,” said Jeevitha.
She however was angry over actor Naresh’s remarks on her. “What mistake have I committed to get suspended from MAA. Without considering my whole speech on the postal ballot issue the previous day, Naresh just picked the word, “don’t vote” which is unfair,” she added.
