Hyderabad: Actor Naga Babu on Friday made some caustic comments against Manchu Vishnu who is contesting for the president’s post of Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) elections.
With only two days left for the prestigious MAA polls, members of both Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu panel are making last-ditch efforts to attract voters.
Naga Babu said Vishnu Manchu doesn’t possess the characteristics that Prakash Raj has. “Prakash knows the bigger picture of MAA. He is knowledgeable and articulative enough even to fight with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If Prakash Raj has to be compared with anyone, it would be senior actor Mohan Babu. Because Mohan Babu, who runs a chain of educational institutions, knows what his students need. Likewise, Prakash Raj who has been visiting every office for the sake of movie artistes, knew the problems from the grass-root level,” he added.
Naga Babu further said Manchu Vishnu’s parents are the only Telugu people in the Manchu family. “And if a test in Telugu is conducted for both Manchu Vishnu and Prakash Raj, Vishnu would not get even the pass marks. Vishnu, who calls Prakash Raj an outsider, should first learn the Telugu language. I would pledge complete support to Prakash Raj who has good knowledge in both films and various other fields who would suit the MAA president post,” Naga Babu added.
