Actor Manchu Vishnu, the new president of Movie Artistes Association (MAA), along with his newly-elected Executive Council (EC) members on Monday visited Tirumala and sought the blessings of Lord Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala.
Actor Siva Balaji, Gautam Raju, Karate Kalyani, Pujitha, Jayavani, Manik, Srinivasulu, his sister Manchu Lakshmi and father Mohan Babu were among other EC members who accompanied Vishnu to the hill shrine.
Speaking to the media persons, Mohan Babu expressed his happiness over his son getting elected as new president of the movie association. “Assuming the president’s chair isn’t a normal thing. The post itself is a big responsibility,” he said.
Crediting his team and MAA members for his victory in the elections, Vishnu said majority of the EC members have won from his panel. And responding to the resignations that were tendered by Prakash Raj and his panel, the MAA president said he did not receive any resignations from the opposition members. “We came to know about their resignations only through the media, we haven’t received letters in written form. I will think about the future course of action once I receive the resignations,” he added.
