Madhoo walks 110 Kms on spiritual journey in Spain with childhood friends

Actress Madhoo completed a 110 km walk on Spain’s famed Camino de Santiago with childhood friends, receiving a certificate of completion and sharing her spiritual journey and joyful reunion on social media.

Mumbai: Actress Madhoo is currently on a deeply spiritual journey in Spain. Known for her grace both on and off screen, she chose to walk the Camino de Santiago with her childhood friends, making the experience especially meaningful.

The actress, undertaking the pilgrimage on foot, recently completed 110 km in about a week. She was awarded the traditional certificate of completion, a symbol of devotion given to those who successfully finish the journey.

The certificate highlights not only the physical endurance required to cover hundreds of kilometres but also the spiritual intention behind the pilgrimage.

An elated Madhoo took to social media to share a picture of her certificate along with her excitement. The 56-year-old has also been posting pictures and videos from the trip, capturing her moments of joy with her childhood friends.

In one post, she wrote: “The most beautiful thing in life is to be together with people who keep you safe and smiling, and reunions are the best. Childhood friendships are the bestest, and here we are together monkeying around on our way to the Camino.”

For the uninitiated, the Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of Saint James, is one of the world’s most famous pilgrimages, leading to the shrine of the Apostle Saint James at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, northwestern Spain.

Madhoo continues to be remembered for her acclaimed role in Roja, released in 1994.
