‘Maestro’ to hit OTT platform on Sep 17

Actor Nithiin-starrer ‘Maestro’ is another Telugu movie that is among the list of big ticket flicks, which is being released on an OTT platform. Bypassing the theatrical release, the makers have decided to choose Disney+Hotstar to stream it on September 17.
An official adaptation of the Hindi thriller ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Maestro’ features Nithiin in the lead, Tamannaah Bhatia in a negative role while Nabha Natesh plays the love interest of Nithiin. Other characters include Jisshu Sengupta, Naresh, Sreemukhi, Ananya, among other artistes, in key roles. Nithiin, who steps into the shoes of Ayushmann Khurrana, portrays a blind person in the thriller.
Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the movie is being produced by Shresht Movies. The streaming giant made an official announcement that it would release the film for Disney+Hotstar. Nithiin’s ‘Maestro’ is the first Telugu film to release directly on its platform.
Earlier, the makers were supposed to release the film in theatres. However, due to uncertainty looming over and the possible outbreak of third wave prompted the makers to take the OTT route. Initially, the makers planned to release it on September 10. Later, they have decided to postpone it by a week and release it on September 17.
