Magellanic Cloud forms joint venture to manufacture UAVs in India
Magellanic Cloud Ltd has partnered with Rayonix Tech and Israel-based XTEND to form a ₹100 crore joint venture for manufacturing UAVs in India. The initiative aims to boost domestic defence capabilities through advanced drone technology and localised production.

Hyderabad: Magellanic Cloud Ltd has announced the formation of a strategic joint venture with Rayonix Tech, an India-based defence technology company, to manufacture Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in India, in partnership with XTEND, an Israel-based AI-powered robotics, UAV and software systems company.
The joint venture, valued at approximately $11 million (Rs 100 crores), will establish localised manufacturing, testing and distribution capabilities for UAV systems in India, to cater to the growing demand for advanced UAV systems from India’s defence ecosystem.
By leveraging XTEND’s proven autonomous operating systems and combining them with domestic manufacturing capabilities, the joint venture seeks to deliver mission-critical drone solutions built for Indian operational requirements.
