Magician Samala Venu to contest in MLC polls as independent

Hyderabad: Noted magician Samala Venu will contest the upcoming MLC election to Graduates constituency of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar as an independent candidate.

“I would like to contest as a Graduate MLC to support the Telangana youth and public and to bring them into limelight,” Venu said addressing the media here on Sunday.

He said both the State and Central governments had failed in utilising youth power. “They did not release a youth policy and have not concentrated on welfare and development of youth,” he said.
