Maha Shivaratri festivities set with elaborate arrangements in Mancherial
Authorities in Mancherial district have made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of Maha Shivaratri festivities at Sri Bugga Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Kannala and Sri Mallikharjuna Swamy temple in Velala.

Mancherial: Elaborate arrangements were in place for smooth conduct of annual Maha Shivaratri festivities at the ancient Sri Bugga Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam of Kannala in Bellampalli mandal and Sri Mallikharjuna Swamy temple at Velala in Jaipur mandal on Sunday and Monday.
Endowment officials said that basic amenities such as shades, temporary toilets, drinking water facilities, queue lines and parking lots were created with cooperation from different departments at the two temples.
They stated that devotees from several parts of the district and neighboring Peddapalli would throng the shrines and perform special prayers by forming serpentine queue lines over the two days.
According to the officials, security was stepped up at the two temples to prevent untoward incidents. TGSRTC officials said that the public transporter was plying 30 special buses from Mancherial town to Velala for the convenience of devotees. They requested the devotees to utilize the facility and have a safe journey.
