Mahabubabad: Expressing ire over the delay in the development works taken up under Palle Pragathi programme, District Collector VP Gautham has directed the officials to expedite the works. He has also asked them to take steps to create awareness among the people on segregation of wet waste and dry waste.
Gautham inspected the segregation sheds, Vaikunthadamas, Palle Prakruthi Vanams and dumping yards in Lakshmipuram Thanda, Brahmanapalli, Jillellagudem villages in the district and enquired with the officials concerned about the process of segregating wet and dry waste on Saturday. He also sought details of items sent for recycling.
Noticing waterlogging in the dump yard, he instructed the authorities to remove the waterlogging immediately and suggested digging a trench round the dump yard to stop water from entering the yard. MPDO Ravinder Reddy, Panchayati Raj EE Mahesh, Kommugudem and Jillellagudem sarpanches Guglothu Nehru, Sheikh Shafi, Panchayat Secretary Bhavani and others were present.
