Mahabubnagar: ‘Uddala Seva’ of the historic Sri Kurumurthy Swamy temple Brahmotsavams was held at Vaddeman village in Chinna Chintakunta mandal here on Thursday.
The Seva is a significant ritual during the Brahmotsavams as a procession is held wherein the footwear of the Lord is carried and presented to Sri Kurumurthy Swamy.
Devarkadra MLA A Venkateshwara Reddy participated in the event, which saw people visiting the temple in large numbers from neighbouring villages. Residents of Vaddeman village make the footwear and the same is carried in a procession from the village to the temple, which is popularly known as Telangana Tirupati.
