Mahabubnagar : A resident of Ramaiah Bowli in the town, Nizamuddin (34), was shot dead in the United States. Though the incident occurred 15 days ago, it came to light after his friends informed his parents over phone on Thursday.

According to reports, Nizamuddin was working in a private firm in California and living in a rented house with four friends. Tempers reportedly ran high between him and his roommates over an issue, leading to heated arguments and threats to shoot each other.

Alarmed by the escalating tension, one of the friends called the police, who rushed to the spot. Despite police attempts to defuse the situation, the arguments continued. Amidst the commotion, Nizamuddin was shot dead allegedly by the police, reports said.

Nizamuddin had moved to the US in 2016 to pursue higher education. After completing his course, he secured a job and was employed with a company there.

His father, Mohd. Hasnuddin, a retired teacher, appealed to the Union government to bring back his son’s body to India.
