Mahabubnagar: Here is some good news for the people of Mahabubnagar. The district administration as a means to promote tourism in the district is operating a tour bus connecting the popular Manyamkonda temple, Pillalamari – the famous 800-year-old banyan tree which is spread over four acres area and KCR Eco Urban Park. The bus will be flagged off by Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud on Sunday from the district Collector’s office.
District Collector S Venkat Rao said the tour bus will be operated on holidays, weekends. The ticket fare for a trip is fixed at Rs 300 for adults and Rs 200 for children (aged 5-12 years). The fare includes lunch and tea will also be served twice.
The bus will leave the District Collector’s office at 8 am and reach Manyam Konda. After special darshan at the temple, tourists will be taken to the adjacent Mission Bhagiratha water grid and to the Padmavati Ammavari temple at the foothill. From Manyam Konda, the bus then will reach Pillalamarri. After visiting the Science Museum, Children’s Park, Archeology Museum and Mini Zoo in Pillalamarri, tourists will be taken to KCR Eco Urban Park in the afternoon.
After having lunch at the Park, tourists can spend time at the adventure parks, the rain forest and enjoy the boating within the Park. In the evening, the tourists will be dropped back at the Collector’s office, wrapping up the tour. “After successfully operating the tour bus to the above tourist spots, efforts will be made to operate more buses connecting different tourist spots in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district,” Venkat Rao said.
