Mahabubnagar: Student suffers burns while cooking in Nawabpet school
In the process of making the snack desired by her teachers, the student was hurt when cooking hot oil spilled on the student's hand, causing severe burns.
Mahabubnagar: Some of the teachers at Kasturba Gandhi School in Nawabpet Mandal allegedly forced a Class 9 student to cook snacks and prepare bhajjis at the cost of her studies. In the process of making the snack desired by her teachers, the student was hurt when cooking hot oil spilled on the student’s hand, causing severe burns.
The injured student was immediately taken to a government hospital for treatment. This incident has raised questions about the safety of students in the school environment and the district educational officer is likely to visit the school as part of a fact finding mission.
