Mahankali police solve murder case, suspect identified and arrested after examining CCTV footage

The suspect was identified as Shiva alias Donga Shiva (31) from East Marredpally

Hyderabad: The Mahankali police solved the murder case of an unidentified man, which was reported at SD Road in Secunderabad on Sunday and arrested the suspect on Thursday.

The police, after examining the CCTV footage from the crime spot, identified the suspect as Shiva alias Donga Shiva (31) from East Marredpally.

On the night of May 17, Shiva, in a sudden provocation over a trivial matter, grabbed a boulder and bludgeoned the 55-year-old victim to death on the pavement. The pedestrians who were passing by found the victim lying in a pool of blood and alerted the police.

The Mahankali police, who are investigating the murder case, said efforts are on to identify the victim.
