Hyderabad: BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary, stating that Gandhi’s path of peaceful struggle remains a guiding force for democratic movements worldwide.
He explained how Gandhi’s ideals played a crucial role in Telangana’s statehood movement and later, shaped its governance under the BRS.

He credited Telangana’s formation to the same principles of perseverance and tolerance that defined Gandhi’s fight for independence.
Reflecting on Telangana’s decade-long journey under BRS rule, he asserted that Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of ‘Grama Swarajya’ has been realised in the State, ensuring development for all sections of society.
He reaffirmed his commitment to furthering Telangana’s progress through inclusive growth and harmony, stating that true homage to Gandhi lies in continuing this path of equitable governance.
