Maheshwaran-Prakash dominate INTSDRC-1 at record-breaking rally of Chikmagalur 2025
Maheshwaran N and Prakash Muthusamy topped the INTSDRC-1 class at the Rally of Chikmagalur 2025, leading a record field of 130 entries. The event marked Round 1 of the FMSCI Indian National TSD Rally Championship (4W) 2025.

Hyderabad: Maheshwaran N, alongside co-driver Prakash Muthusamy, delivered a standout performance in the INTSDRC-1 Class at the Rally of Chikmagalur 2025, to secure a comfortable lead over the field on Monday.
The rally, which served as Qualifier Round-1 of the FMSCI Indian National Time Speed Distance Rally Championship (4W) 2025, witnessed over 130 entries competing across eight categories, marking the highest-ever turnout in the championship’s history.
Other category winners included A Vinodh (INTSDRC-2), Aparna Pathak (Women’s and State Of Karnataka classes), Vinay Prasanna (Pro Stock), Bhavani Balakrishnan (Couples and Supercar classes), showcasing exceptional skill, coordination, and endurance across a challenging course spread over two days.
In the INTSDRC-1 Class, Maheshwaran N and co-driver Prakash Muthusamy set the tone for the season, nearly a full minute ahead of their closest competitors. Santhosh Kumar V and T. Nagarajan followed in second place, while Ganesh Murthi and Chandrashekar took third.
The INTSDRC-2 Class saw a competitive finish, with A Vinodh and N Murugan taking top honors. Manju Jain and Dinky Varghese secured second, and Rahele Ahmed with Sakayana Kumar. In the Women’s Category, Aparna Pathak and Lalita Gowda dominated the field with over one hour lead. Kshamta and Ammol came in second, followed closely by Vannhree Pathak and Ramu Chandra.
The Pro Stock Category was led by Vinay Prasanna and Adi Anthony. They were followed by D Keerthy Prasad and C Sakthivel; and Vinay Kumar M with Y Arun. In the Couples Category, Bhavani Balakrishnan and Anandraj S claimed victory with over six minutes lead. Shrutha Jayant and Jayant M Jain finished second, followed by Rawami Mabel and Vinoth Kumar.
Bhavani Balakrishnan and Anandraj S also topped the Supercar Class, while Aparna Pathak and Lauta Gowda got the top honours in the State of Karnataka (SOK) Class, followed by Nanlu Jan and Dimky Varchese and Raheel Ahmed and Saravana Kumar completing the podium.
Organized by the Motor Sports Club of Chikmagalur (MSCC), in association with JK Tyre Motorsport and co-sponsored by Vamcy Merla Sports Foundation, the Round 1 of South Zone featured a mix of seasoned veterans and emerging talent, navigating the scenic yet technically demanding terrain of Chikmagalur.
Top finishers from this round will move one step closer to Championship, provided they participate in at least two qualifying rounds. No points carry over—every round counts.
