Hyderabad: Mahindra University on Tuesday announced a partnership with Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) to establish a Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) Centre on its campus here in Hyderabad.
Supported by Bajaj Auto’s flagship CSR initiative, BEST, the Centre will focus on equipping engineering students with industry-ready skills in two verticals – advanced manufacturing (Industry 4.0 & IIoT) and firmware development.
Under the collaboration, Bajaj Auto will develop the BEST Centre. The curriculum has been designed by expert engineers at Bajaj Auto. The Bajaj Auto CSR will also sponsor the equipment and infrastructure required for the two technology verticals, a press release said.
Mahindra University Vice Chancellor Dr Yajulu Medury said that the University aims to ensure that students gain practical exposure to the technologies shaping the future.
The BEST Centre will also extend training to external engineering students in their final year, offering short-term internship-based skill programmes aligned with industry requirements.
“The integration of industry-oriented curriculum as part of the regular B. Tech course will ensure that when students graduate, they are industry-ready and able to secure jobs in core engineering industries,” said Sudhakar Gudipati, vice president, Bajaj Auto Ltd.
