Sangareddy: A foundation-laying ceremony for development works in Ameenpur division sparked a row between Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy and Congress Party constituency in-charge Kata Srinivas Goud.

Hours after Mahipal Reddy laid the foundation for multiple development works worth Rs 3.68 crore in Ameenpur and Beeramguda divisions, Congress leader Kata Srinivas Goud said the officials wanted the works to be grounded by district in-charge Minister G Vivekananda.

However, he said Mahipal went ahead with laying the foundation for the works even though no civic officials were present at the programme.
