Hyderabad: A new building constructed for Shamshabad police station was inaugurated by Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Sunday. On the occasion, Director General of Police, Telangana, M Mahender Reddy and Cyberabad Commissioner M Stephen Raveendra were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the Home Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had always given priority to the police department as development of any State is possible only when law and order prevails. He said that the TRS government took up mass recruitment in the police department after it came to power.
Mahmood Ali said that a few lakh surveillance cameras were installed across the State by the government to help in prevention and detection of crime.
