Major blaze at Katedan plywood godown, no casualties reported

A massive fire broke out at a plywood godown in Hyderabad’s Katedan during the early hours of Thursday, destroying property worth lakhs of rupees.

Hyderabad: Property worth lakhs of rupees gutted when a fire broke out at a plywood godown in Katedan early hours on Thursday. No casualties were reported in the incident.

According to the police, huge flames were emanating from the plywood godown located in Katedan in the early hours and the fire department was informed.

Fire tenders from nearby fire stations reached the spot and started a firefighting operation. The fire was finally brought under control after two hours.

The officials are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
