Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in a footwear manufacturing unit and warehouse at Katalguda area of Osmanpura on Wednesday evening. No casualties were reported.
Officials suspect a short circuit led to the fire. The workers, who noticed the fire from a footwear load in the unit, alerted the Fire department and police, following which a fire engine was rushed to the spot. With the fire raging on, a second fire tender too joined the efforts later and doused the fire.
The cost of the property damaged was yet to be ascertained.
