Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in a plastic items godown at the Monda Market area in Secunderabad on Friday night. No casualties were reported.
A short circuit was suspected to have caused the fire, police said. Plastic items and other combustible materials in the warehouse were gutted in the fire.
Other shop vendors and local residents, who noticed thick smoke and flames, immediately alerted the fire department and police.
Fire personnel rushed to the spot and, with the help of two fire engines, doused the flames.
The police are investigating.
