Hyderabad: During the Jubilee Hills by-election, resident welfare associations (RWAs) have become crucial access points for major parties and also a huge voter turnout. Candidates from the BRS, Congress, and BJP interacted with RWAs, promising improved civic amenities.

BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha visited Krishna Nagar, Yousufguda and L N Nagar, as well as areas in Borabanda. She met members of several RWAs in the Jubilee Hills constituency. Reflecting on her family’s legacy, RWAs recalled their bond with her late husband, Maganti Gopinath, and credited him with laying CC roads and resolving various civic issues.

Congress Party candidate V Naveen Yadav campaigned at Somajiguda, addressing RWA members. He later participated in door-to-door campaigns in Madhura Nagar, Kalyan Nagar Phase-1, Laxmi Nagar, Vikaspuri Colony, Siddarth Nagar, Habeeb Fathima Nagar, Erragadda, Vinayak Nagar, and Vengalrao Nagar, engaging with RWAs. Yadav assured the allotment of additional funds for the development of the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency and pledged to resolve long-standing civic issues upon election as MLA.

Union minister for Mines, G Kishan Reddy, held a ‘Mann Ki Bath’ at Officers’ Colony in Venkatagiri with BJP supporters and leaders. Subsequently, he conducted door-to-door campaigns in Shivaji Nagar, New Prem Nagar, Anand Nagar, and parts of the Erragadda division. During the campaigns, Reddy assured RWAs of overall constituency development through increased fund allocation.
