Hyderabad: TRS working president K T Rama Rao on Tuesday directed party workers to organise the party’s ‘Flag Festival’ on September 2 on a grand note.

Rama Ram, who held a teleconference with Ministers, MLAs, ZPTCs, MPTCs and party leaders, urged party workers to hoist the party flag in every ward in villages and towns across the State and take up party programmes.

He instructed the party leaders to ensure that all those who had taken party membership participate in the flag hoisting programmes. Since Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao will be away in New Delhi to lay the foundation stone for the party office in the national capital the same day, and Ministers and MLAs will be accompanying him, Rama Rao instructed the local leaders at village and town levels to ensure that the party flag hoisting programme was a grand success.

After the party flag festival, the exercise to set up party committees at all levels would be taken up from September 2 to 12. After September 20, announcements regarding district committees and district presidents would be made, he said, adding that after the district executive committees, the Chief Minister will announce details regarding State level executive committee.

“Fifty percent of the committees will be reserved for SC, ST, BCs and minorities, failing which the committees will not be valid,” Rama Rao said.

Regarding Hyderabad, the TRS working president said a separate meeting will be held in September first week.
