Malkajgiri MLA seeks major health infrastructure boost from Telangana government

Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy met Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and Health Principal Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, seeking faster completion of healthcare projects, additional doctors, and infrastructure upgrades, including a CT scan machine and development works at Malkajgiri Area Hospital.

Hyderabad: With the aim of further expanding health services in Malkajgiri constituency and providing quality medical facilities to people, Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy called on Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and Health Principal Secretary Christina Z Chongtu and presented a memorandum to bring to their attention the key health infrastructure development issues.

The main appeals made by the MLA include construction of the proposed Moulali Urban Primary Health Center (UPHC) to be started soon, construction on the site allotted for construction of UPHC in Eklavya Nagar to be expedited, address shortage of doctors at Alwal Primary Health Care.


It was decided to immediately initiate the tender process for the development works allocated by the District Collector of Medchal-Malkajgiri through Telangana Medical Infrastructure Development Funds (TMIDF) in Malkajgiri Area Hospital, to install a CT scan machine, and to provide high-voltage electrical facilities.

Damodar Rajanarsimha and Dr Christina Z Chongtu responded positively to the requests of Marri Rajasekhar Reddy and assured that they would review with the officials and take necessary action.
