Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation has set a goal of achieving complete door-to-door waste collection across its jurisdiction.

The MMC Commissioner, T Vinay Krishna Reddy, on Saturday instructed officials to ensure 100% door-to-door garbage collection through Swachh Auto Tippers and directed SAT auto drivers to mandatorily visit each household.

The Commissioner visited Sanjay Gandhi Nagar in Moula Ali, Mahendra Hills in Malkajgiri, Indira Nehru Nagar, Anand Bagh and Tukaram Gate, and observed that SAT vehicles were facing hardship in collecting garbage door-to-door in Mahendra Hills and Indira Nehru Nagar areas of Malkajgiri, as the areas are located in hilly terrain.

To prevent littering on roads and in public places, he instructed officials and SAT auto drivers to ensure no collection point was missed during waste collection and suggested measures to maintain better sanitation and cleanliness in the area.
