Malkajgiri She Teams nab 88 for harassment in special drive
Malkajgiri She Teams nabbed 88 persons during a special drive against harassment of women. Acting on 106 complaints, police registered cases, counselled offenders and addressed serious incidents including stalking, molestation and blackmail, reinforcing measures to ensure women’s safety.
Hyderabad: As part of intensified efforts to curb harassment of women, the Malkajgiri She Teams nabbed 88 persons, including 73 adults and 15 juveniles, during a special drive conducted between March 16 and 31.
During the same period, 106 complaints were received, including those related to phone harassment, social media abuse and direct or physical harassment. The police registered nine criminal cases, booked 20 petty cases and counselled 66 persons.
She Teams also took swift action in several serious cases, including blackmail using personal photos, molestation of a woman on the road, harassment of a college student and stalking of a young woman.
