Mallanna Sagar works nearing completion: Medak MP
Kotha Prabhakar Reddy participated in multiple programmes across Dubbaka Assembly on Wednesday
Sangareddy: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy on Wednesday said that the works of Mallanna Sagar project, which is being built near Thoguta in Siddipet district as part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS), was nearing completion.
The MP, who examined the progress of works on the 50 TMCft storage capacity project, said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Finance Minister T Harish Rao have instructed the Irrigation authorities to complete works on war footing so that they can impound the project with Godavari water within a couple of months.
Hailing the sacrifices of the displaced under Mallanna Sagar as priceless, Reddy said that the Telangana government is providing the best rehabilitation package to each and every displaced person.
Elaborating on the various initiatives of Telangana government for the benefit of the farmers, Kotha Prabhakar said that KLIS will change the face of agriculture in the State. He participated in multiple programmes across Dubbaka Assembly.
