Man accused of wife’s murder found dead near her grave in Hyderabad
A man accused of murdering his wife in February was found hanging near her grave in Nomula village of Ibrahimpatnam mandal. Police suspect suicide and are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death after he had remained absconding for months.
Hyderabad: A man accused of brutally murdering his wife earlier this year was found dead in a suspected suicide near her grave in Nomula village of Ibrahimpatnam mandal on Thursday night.
According to local residents, M Babu, who had allegedly been absconding since hacking his wife, Amrutha (30), to death on February 24, was found hanging from a tree beside her burial site. His body was spotted by villagers, who alerted the police.
Amrutha was allegedly murdered at their home in Nomula village after Babu, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked her with an axe.
The police had registered a murder case and launched a search for the suspect, who had been on the run since the incident.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
