Man arrested for alleged temple desecration in Neredmet

Neredmet police arrested a man from Karnataka for allegedly desecrating the Katta Maisamma temple on Saturday evening. The incident triggered protests by local residents, following which police intervened, registered a case and remanded the accused to judicial custody.

Hyderabad: The Neredmet police on Sunday arrested a man for alleged desecration of a place of worship the previous evening.

The man Altaf, a native of Bidar, Karnataka entered into the premises of a temple and allegedly descrated the Katta Maisamma temple located at Neredmet. On noticing it the local people had gathered and protested. The police pacified the people and assured to take action against the culprit.
