Man arrested for illegal sale of steroid injections in Hyderabad
The Task Force (West) arrested a 25-year-old man in Hyderabad for illegally selling steroid injections without a licence or prescription. Steroids worth ₹1.60 lakh were seized, with police warning of serious health risks, especially to youth.
Hyderabad: The Task Force (West) team, arrested a 25-year-old man for illegally procuring and selling steroid injections used for bodybuilding without a valid licence or medical prescription on Monday.
Steroid injections and related material worth Rs 1.60 lakh were seized from him.
The suspect, Mohd Faisal Khan, a furniture worker and resident of Kishanbagh, allegedly procured the injections from Surat through online platforms and sold them to gym-goers at inflated prices.
Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed him near Asian Theatre in Attapur while he was carrying the injections.
Police said the illegal sale of steroids poses serious health risks, especially to youth seeking rapid muscle growth.
Consumers identified in the case were further counselled and advised to consult doctors.
