Hyderabad: The Neredmet police solved the murder case of Shyam Sunder reported on Monday and arrested his friend Naveen, a car driver, here on Tuesday. Police said the two were friends and neighbours and often had liquor parties at Shyam Sunder’s house.
Sunder allegedly abused Naveen and his family members several times, due to which Naveen bore a grudge against the former. On Sunday night, Sunder in an inebriated condition again abused Naveen and went into his house.
“Naveen who became furious barged into Sunder’s house and picked up an argument. He then attacked him with a stick and bludgeoned him to death with a cement brick,” police said. Based on Sunder’s mother’s complaint, the Neredmet police booked a case and over strong suspicion, questioned Naveen, who confessed to the killing.
