Man arrested for running illegal fruit wine manufacturing unit in Kapra
Hyderabad police and Excise Department officials raided an illegal homemade wine manufacturing unit in Kapra, arresting a 68-year-old man. They seized 377 litres of fruit-based wine and 502 bottles, while investigating the supply chain and distribution network.

Hyderabad: The city police, along with the excise department officials, have busted an illegal homemade wine manufacturing unit operating in Kapra and arrested an elderly man on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Antony Peter (68), had reportedly been producing fruit-based wine for the past year without the required licence. He allegedly learnt the process through YouTube videos.
Officials found that Peter was selling 750-ml bottles for Rs 300 each. The illegally produced wine was allegedly being supplied to customers in Neredmet, Secunderabad and Kapra.
Police are investigating the source of the raw materials, the distribution network and whether others were involved.
During the raid, police seized 377 litres of illegally manufactured wine and 502 bottles ready for sale.
