Kothagudem: A man was arrested for allegedly abusing his daughter sexually at Yellandu in the district on Friday.
The accused has been abusing his daughter for the past three months, sources said. When the girl took the matter to the notice of her mother, she too supported her husband. The girl then approached her relatives, who contacted ICDS officials.
Yellandu additional ICDS CDPO Vijaykumari conducted an enquiry into the matter and handed over the child to Kothagudem Child Welfare Committee. Yellandu police booked a case against the accused under POCSO Act and other relevant sections and took him into custody, sources said.
