Hyderabad: A man who allegedly duped a city-based woman on the pretext of arranging loans was arrested by the City police here on Monday.

The man, Naveen Kumar, had posted an advertisement on a classifieds website and introduced himself as the managing director of a finance company and asked people in need of loans to contact him. A woman from the city contacted him over phone, after which, on the pretext of arranging loan from another finance company, Naveen Kumar collected money from her and duped her, police said.

Following a complaint from the victim, the Hyderabad Cybercrime police arrested Naveen Kumar on Monday.
