Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police arrested a man who was allegedly using a vehicle registration number fraudulently to evade traffic challans.

Gaikwad Navanath, a resident of Mallepally, owns a Hero Passion Plus and purchased a second-hand vehicle that did not bear any registration number.

Gaikwad was using a registration number AP11AA6077 on his vehicle to con the traffic police, and the traffic challans generated on the vehicle for violations were sent to one Vikky Paswan of Rajendranagar, whose vehicle, a Honda Shine, was allotted the registration number AP11AA6077. The police are trying to ascertain the actual vehicle number of Gaikwad’s vehicle. A case is registered against Gaikwad for cheating the government.
