Man arrested on charges of smuggling 2 kgs ganja valued at Rs 5 lakh in Adilabad

Police arrested a man at Naddamguda village in Adilabad district on Thursday and seized two kg of dry ganja worth Rs 5 lakh from his possession. Police said he confessed to peddling ganja for easy money during interrogation

Adilabad: A man was arrested on charges of smuggling ganja at Naddamguda village on Thursday. Police seized two kg of dry ganja, valued at Rs 5 lakh, from his possession.

Narnoor Inspector Anjamma said Takada Mohan Singh of Chorgaon village was taken into custody for possessing ganja during a vehicle check at Naddamguda.

During interrogation, Mohan Singh confessed to peddling ganja for easy money.

Police warned of stern action against those involved in the cultivation, transportation and peddling of ganja.
