Suryapet: In a joint operation, Task Force of Excise Department and Suryapet town police on Monday arrested a person at Jangaon on the outskirts of Suryapet and seized 10 kg ganja from his possession. The arrested was identified as Sameer Ahmed from Uttar Pradesh. The police took him into the custody when he was suspiciously moving at a dhaba near Jangaon.

Excise Deputy Commissioner Anjan Rao told that the arrested man confessed that he was smuggling ganja to Pune from Chhattisgarh. Rao warned that PD Act would be invoked against those would involve in sale and smuggling of ganja. He also requested the people to inform them over phone 9440902641 or 9492610290, if they get any information on sale and smuggling of ganja.
