Man booked for filming minor girl dies by suicide in Hyderabad

A man accused of filming a minor girl while she was bathing allegedly died by suicide in Turkayamjal on Wednesday. Police said a POCSO case had been registered against the Meerpet resident on October 12.

Hyderabad: A man accused of filming a minor girl while she was bathing allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday, reportedly fearing arrest in a POCSO case registered against him in Meerpet.

According to police, a case was registered against the suspect, Harshavardhan Reddy, a resident of Almasguda under Meerpet police station limits, on October 12. Following the case, he went to a relative’s house in Raghavendra Colony, Turkayamjal, where he allegedly died by suicide.
