Man booked for smuggling illicit liquor in Adilabad

Adilabad: A person was arrested for allegedly smuggling illicit liquor locally known as Desi Daaru produced in Maharashtra at Pardi village in Adilabad Rural mandal on Thursday. Police seized 48 bottles containing 180 ml of liquor each and a two-wheeler from him.
Adilabad Prohibition and Excise Inspector Vijayender said that a person was booked for smuggling the illicit liquor seized during a raid held at the village. The officials conducted raids in three different parts, following a tip-off.
They stated that certain persons were indulging in the offence to earn easy money.
