Forest officials seized 15 teak logs of teak timber from his possession

Nirmal: A man was booked for allegedly smuggling teak timber at Lingapur village in Sarangapur mandal on Sunday night. Forest officials seized 15 teak logs worth Rs. 1.60 lakh from his possession.

Officials said a case was registered against the driver of a tractor used to transport the logs. The accused reportedly confessed to felling teak trees in the Boath forests and transporting the timber to a location in Lingapur.
