Sleuths of a Task Force produce the accused before pressmen in Dahegaon mandal centre on Monday night
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A man was arrested by sleuths of a Task Force for allegedly trying to sell banned cotton seeds in Dahegaon mandal centre on Monday night.
A total of 150 kilograms of seeds worth Rs 3 lakh was recovered from him. Task Force Inspector Rana Prathap said that the accused was Abdul Basheer, a resident of Dahegaon mandal headquarters.
Basheer was found to have stored three bags containing the prohibited seeds and was ready to sell them to gullible farmers, when the sleuths raided his house, following a tip off. Basheer was handed over to Dahegaon cops for taking further action. A case was registered against him. Investigations were taken up.
