Hanamkonda: A man and his daughter were found dead in suspicious circumstances at the Kadipikonda Rajiv Gruhakalpa complex in Kazipet mandal of the district on Wednesday.

The bodies of Rajasekhar (54) and his daughter Rajasri (24) were found burnt at their residence in Block No. 10. Police suspect that Rajasri’s husband, Praveen, might have killed them both due to family disputes and set the bodies on fire to make their deaths appear like an accident. Locals who noticed the fire in Rajasekhar’s house during the early hours alerted the police and the fire station.

Madikonda Inspector of Police Pulyala Kishan and Sub-Inspector Raj Kumar inspected the house, while the clues team collected fingerprints and other evidence. The charred bodies were shifted to MGM Hospital for postmortem. Praveen was reportedly taken into custody for questioning.
