Khammam: A man and his daughter were found dead under suspicious conditions in their house at Burhanpuram in Khammam city while the man’s wife as well as another daughter were found in an unconscious state.

According to police the deceased Kanatala Ramu (29) of Ananthnagar in Nelakondapalli mandal in the district worked as a journalist in a vernacular daily. He stayed at Burhanpuram with his wife Ramya, daughters Divya Naini (5) and Deekshita.

It was said that for the past four days when Ramu’s family members telephoned him, his wife Ramya answered the calls saying that he was not well. When a woman visited their house on Sunday morning and enquired about Ramu, Ramya reportedly told her that he got admitted to hospital.

Later in the night when Ramya’s brother visited the house; knocked on the door no one responded and he also found that a bad smell was coming out the house. Then he informed the police, who visited the house; broke the door open and found Ramu, his elder daughter Divya Naini lifeless under a cot in a room.

The police shifted Ramya and younger daughter Deekshita, who were in an unconscious state, to hospital. It was suspected that Ramu and his elder daughter might have died three days ago as their bodies were found decomposed.

Police found that there were injuries on Deekshita’s body and suspect foul play by Ramya in the incident. Investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
