Man dies after being hit by train while trying to cross track at Warangal Station

Warangal: A 33-year-old man was crushed to death after he was hit by a train while crossing the track between platforms at Warangal Railway Station on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as K Venkatesh of Pedakalvala village of Peddapalli mandal of Karimnagar district.


According to reports, Venkatesh was trying to cross from one platform to another via the tracks instead of using the stairs, when Dornakal-Kazipet DEMU approached the station and he got stuck in between. He died on the spot.

A case was registered and the body was sent to postmortem to MGM hospital. The body was handed over to his brother Bhaskar after the postmortem.
