Hyderabad: A 29-year-old man died by suicide at his house in Jubilee Hills reportedly due to family and financial issues on Sunday.
The man, K Samba Murthy, a resident of Srikrishna Nagar in Yousufguda under Jubilee Hills police station area, was married to Lavanya four years ago, and the couple have a child aged two years.
For the past few months, Murthy was facing financial problems as the company where he worked cut his salary due to financial issues. “Murthy and his wife frequently quarreled in the house over expenditure-related issues. He also suspected that his wife was maintaining a relationship with a man and speaking to him over phone, and that doubt further made him aggressive,” said Jubilee Hills sub inspector M Shravan Kumar Reddy.
A few weeks ago, Lavanya approached the women police station and made a complaint against Murthy. The police called and counselled the couple. Since then, Murthy slipped into depression and on Sunday hanged himself from the ceiling fan in the house. A case of suspicious death is registered.
