Man dies by suicide in Madhapur after girlfriend allegedly avoids him
A 25-year-old man from Punjab, living in Madhapur, died by suicide at his apartment building early Sunday after his girlfriend reportedly began avoiding him and blocked his phone number. Police said he allegedly hanged himself from a hook near a water tank.
Hyderabad: A 25-year-old man died by suicide at an apartment building in Madhapur, after his girlfriend reportedly started avoiding him.
According to the police, Sumit (25), a resident of Madhapur and a native of Punjab, was in a love affair with a woman. However, a few days ago, the woman started avoiding him, and when he tried to contact her, she blocked his phone number.
Sumit apparently slipped into depression and, in the early hours of Sunday, went to the terrace of the building where he stayed. “Using a towel, the man hanged himself to the water tank hook and died,” said P Manohar, sub-inspector at Madhapur police station.
A case is registered.
