Man dies, woman critical after suicide attempt in Jangaon

A man and a woman from Jangaon district allegedly attempted suicide by consuming pesticide. The man, Anvesh, died during treatment, while the woman, Pavani, is in critical condition at MGM Hospital, Warangal. Police have registered a case and are investigating

Warangal: A young man and a woman allegedly attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at Thatikonda village in Ghanpur mandal of Jangaon district.

Police said the man, Marapaka Anvesh (26), died while undergoing treatment, while the woman, Gaddam Pavani (22), believed to be his lover, is battling for life at MGM Hospital in Warangal. The couple reportedly consumed pesticide on Monday.

Her condition is said to be critical. The reasons behind the suicide attempt are yet to be known. Anvesh hailed from Thatikonda, while Pavani was from Pedda Pendyala. The local police registered a case and started investigation.
