Mancherial: A daily earner committed suicide by hanging as he was allegedly depressed over his inability to repay his debts availed for migrating to Dubai at Nambala village in Dandepally mandal on Monday.
According to Dandepally police station SI P Srikanth, the deceased identified as Rayipaka Ramesh (35), was a resident of Nambala village and returnee of Dubai.
Ramesh opted for the drastic step as he was disheartened over his inability to pay debts he took for flying to Dubai in the past. He was eking out a living by engaging in daily waged works. He hung himself to a tree on the outskirts of the village on Sunday at around 11.30 pm. His wife Rajeshwari woke up to learn the information about the suicide on Monday morning.
The daily earner was survived by a wife and two sons.
Based on a complaint received from Rajeshwari, a case was registered. She, however, did not disclose the quantum of debts.
